Green Bay Packers cornerback Will Blackmon had one of the best defensive plays of the night when he batted away a possible touchdown pass in the exhibition finale against the Tennessee Titans.
"Cornerback Will Blackmon helped his case for the No. 3 cornerback job with a pass breakup in the end zone on a fade pass from Vince Young to Brandon Jones," writes Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
It's nice to see Blackmon play well despite a cast on his injured thumb. In his brief NFL career he had started to get a reputation as a player who's always injured. His performance Thursday should help to dispel that notion if he can stay healthy.
His performance also goes to show that he's one of those types of players who comes up big on game days.
