Philbin gets mop up duty

If head coach Mike McCarthy is Brett Favre, then offensive coordinator Joe Philbin is Aaron Rodgers.

Philbin began calling plays for the offense in the second quarter of Thursday's game for the Green Bay Packers.

The announcers on TV made mention of McCarthy briefly taking his headset off, but then putting it back on after a brief period of time. Apparently McCarthy wanted to listen in on the play calling.

It's not like Philbin did a poor job. The second string offense versus the first string defense of the Titans was on the field much of the time.
