Rodgers fills in for Favre

Packers quarterback and ironman Brett Favre is out with an apparent elbow injury, but I can say with absolute honesty that Packers fans can feel comfortable with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. :

Backup Rodgers, the 2005 first-round draft pick who has never had an opportunity to showcase his considerable talents, replaced Favre in the lineup, and had a spectacular outing against the Cowboys. Upon first entering the game, Rodgers struggled (completing one of four passes), but as soon as he got his bearings straight he began to take over the game.

At one point in the game, Rodgers' numbers were 11-of-14 for 130 yards and a touchdown, with no interceptions. He has also had an eight-yard run and a nine-yard run, both of which picked up first downs. A pretty impressive performance for the backup.
