Expanded role for Blackmon

Could it be that cornerback Will Blackmon is being rewarded for having a career game a week ago against the Oakland Raiders.

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, "Special teams coach Mike Stock, always a joy to watch when his blood pressure starts to rise, was particularly salty during kickoff drills. Let's just say you didn't want to be Vernand Morency or Jason Hunter today. By the way, Will Blackmon is rotating in with Koren Robinson and Tramon Williams on kickoffs. He is expected to be the punt returner against St. Louis."

Nothing against Williams, but the best combination of return men is Blackmon and Robinson. That's as dangerous a duo as any there is in the league.

And that, in turn, probably would make Williams the top return man in the league that won't see the field.
