The St. Louis Rams don't have the best record in the NFL, but they're not afraid to take chances.
They play a high risk type of defense with multiple blitz packages. And if Bubba Franks could return this weekend, it would help protect Brett Favre if nothing else.
"If Franks is available, he should be able to step in and work some of the protection packages that the Packers use with their tight ends," writes Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "The Rams are very unconventional in the way they blitz, and having an experienced veteran next to Favre has been beneficial in the past."
Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin agrees.
"With him," said Philbin. "I'm not sure how much we'll get out of him, but you know the guy has played a bunch of plays and you're not so worried about him, as compared to a second-year or first-year player who needs every rep. I think there's a comfort level there where if we utilize him, he'll know what he's doing and give us what he can."
