Perhaps you didn't notice, but the Green Bay Packers only suited up two halfbacks this past game against the Oakland Raiders.
If either Ryan Grant or Vernand Morency got hurt, there wasn't Brandon Jackson to fall back on. Jackson was kept inactive in favor of keeping 10 defensive backs active due to an ailing Charles Woodson.
"It was risky, but (backup fullback) John Kuhn is someone who's had one-back experience," head coach Mike McCarthy told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "Technically, he was the third halfback last week. It's something that we won't make a living doing, I can promise you that."
Don't expect the Packers to go that route again. But who will they keep inactive to get another running back suited up?
It could be one of those 10 defensive backs. It seems like Jarrett Bush is falling a little bit out of favor. It could be him or Frank Walker.
