There's no need to fear along the offensive line for the Green Bay Packers this week. Well, maybe there is need to fear as they prepare to take on a highly regarded Seattle Seahawk defense with four Pro Bowlers. But at least the Packers will do so with guard Jason Spitz.
Spitz returned to practice on Tuesday for the Packers. He sat out practice last week while recovering from a strained quadriceps in the regular season finale, but he did pass tests on Monday in order to resume practicing.
"He's doing better," coach Mike McCarthy said after practice. "We have an injury report that we'll file (Wednesday), but I think we'll be very healthy for the game, including Jason."
As much has been made about the shuffling along the line this season, this is the best combination of players that the Packers have. Could they be more consistent? Sure. But Daryn Colledge at left guard and Spitz at right guard give the Packers the best chance to win.
