I'm not sure where the rumor originated, but Aaron over at Cheesehead TV is writing about the possibility of former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Jason Taylor being traded to the Green Bay Packers.
According to Aaron, "The Packers and Dolphins are working on a deal to send Jason Taylor to the Packers, supposedly for the Packers’ second and fourth round picks. And while this makes perfect sense, especially now that the Packers have an extra second round pick, it doesn’t seem to fit with Thompson’s ultra-conservative M.O. However, there’s a big difference between building a 4-12 team into a contender and then taking that contender over the top."
Yes, the Packers have more draft ammunition, but a second and a fourth seems steep for an aging player who played on the worst team in the NFL last year.
The Packers have a lot of money invested in Cullen Jenkins for him to be coming off the bench. In fact, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila is already one defensive end who's being paid a lot of money for part time play. Do the Packers want two of those types of players?
Taylor is a good character guy, but the Packers should only go after him if the price is right. And that price is low in terms of draft choices.

I think that the PACKERS should get JASON TAYLOR but it depends who they trade.
