Time is ticking

"If the Green Bay Packers are seriously considering using their franchise tag on Corey Williams, they have not advised his representatives of that possibility with the Thursday deadline quickly approaching," reports Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

We should know definitive plans from the Packers in a little more than 24 hours.

The New York Giants showed the NFL just how important it is to be able to generate a pass rush. And Williams is one of the best at providing a pass rush from the interior of the defensive line. It would be hard to let him walk. Especially considering that his replacements in Johnny Jolly and Justin Harrell are more of the run stuffing type.
