Exclusive rights free agent Atari Bigby agreed to a one year contract with the Green Bay Packers.
Bigby will earn $445,000 in 2008, but it's possible that the Packers will lock him into a long term contract soon enough. He would be eligible for restricted free agency after this upcoming season. And if he has as good a year as he did in 2007, he may be of interest to other teams. He must stay healthy, though.
"Teams like to see a guy make it through training camp (healthy) first," Bigby's agent Jack Bechta told the Green Bay Press-Gazette in regards to signing a long term deal with the Packers.
Running back Ryan Grant and wide receiver Ruvell Martin are the only Packers not to sign with the team as exclusive rights free agents.
