Quinn Gray will not be joining the Green Bay Packers.
"Barring unforeseen complications, former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Quinn Gray will sign a one-year deal for $645,000 with the Texans today, giving them three veterans at the most important position on the team," reports John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
It looks like the Packers weren't interested in signing Gray. He is going to a team where he will likely be the No. 3 quarterback at best (unless the Texans trade Sage Rosenfels), and he signed for the league minimum plus a small signing bonus.
Just who will be backing up starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers remains to be seen. Gus Frerotte is still available, but the Packers have made no sign of offering him a contract just yet.
Of course, the Packers will have plenty of options available to them in the April draft, but do they really want a rookie to be the primary backup this season? What if Rodgers gets injured in training camp?
A few other options remain available to the Packers including former 49er Tim Rattay.

I don't understand this. Things really worked out for us last year, so I'm inclined to trust TT, but I don't see how this is a good decision. Aaron Rodgers has been too fragile to skimp on a backup.
