Pay your respects to Lions defensive end Corey Smith. We hardly knew thee. Smith re-upped with the Lions on Monday making him unavailable to the Green Bay Packers.
The writing may have been on the wall once the Packers resigned Tracy White. Had the Packers lost their special teams ace, they may have made more of an attempt to lure Smith.
Smith plays defensive end, but he likely would have been far down the totem pole with players such as Aaron Kampman, Cullen Jenkins, and Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila taking any defensive snaps away from him.
