Favre can't stay out of news

Despite being retired, Brett Favre can't seem to stay out of the news lately.

Just yesterday, he was announced as coming back to Green Bay this summer to induct center Frank Winters into the Packers Hall of Fame.

"Legendary Green Bay Packers quarterbacks Brett Favre and Bart Starr will be together on July 19 as presenters at the 38th Packers Hall of Fame induction banquet at the Lambeau Field Atrium," reports PackersNews.com.

Starr will present Packers video director Al Treml. Nose tackle Gilbert Brown will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame while being presented by fellow defensive lineman Santana Dotson.

On a related note, Favre's wife, Deanna, will be making a public appearance in their native Mississippi at an upcoming event.

"Deanna Favre, wife of former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, will serve as the guest speaker at Mississippi State’s 2008 Ladies Football 101 Clinic, MSU head coach Sylvester Croom announced today," according to the Hattiesburg American.

With the recent news regarding Favre's appearance at a celebrity golf tournament this summer at Lake Tahoe and his possible inclusion on FOX's studio show, Favre has had a hard time staying out of the spotlight lately.

If you're a real football fan, you'd enjoy my recent book titled "Game-Day Goddess: Learning Football's Lingo." It's an informative, humorous, and lighthearted look at football and let's you learn about the game painlessly.

The book is available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com.
