New President and CEO Mark Murphy has the Green Bay Packers looking for ways to increase revenue by adding more attractions to the training camp experience.
According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Murphy told the Wisconsin Associated Press Editors Assocation at Lambeau Field, "As a player, I never looked forward to training camp. But now I'm really looking forward to training camp. We're looking at some things we can do to enhance that experience."
In the Packers' plans is hiring a new vice president for marketing and sales whose focus will be increasing revenue.
On the docket for the future may be the development of newly acquired property near Lambeau Field that is west of the stadium, but Murphy apparently said anything done there would be years away.
It will be interesting to see the ideas they come up with to add to the training camp experience. Will a carnival in the empty Lambeau Field parking lot be one of them?
